Biography

Richard is a life long resident of Carleton County, the son of Winston and Patricia Reid. He and his wife Gail (the daughter of Lester and Laura Jean Antworth of Knoxford) presently live on the homestead where he was raised in Jacksonville. They have one daughter Emily.

Following graduation from the Southern Carleton Regional High School, Richard began employment with The Carleton Memorial Hospital where he moved through the ranks into senior management, eventually serving as facility manager at the time of it closure in 2007.

Providing people focused service has become a standard to Richard, first in his father’s livestock business, during his years in health care, as an owner of the Britton Funeral home and through his service to community and church. He enjoys a large and very broad base of contacts. Richard’s marketing strategy utilizes innovative marketing and communication tools.

Serving as a realtor affords Richard the satisfaction of applying his communication skills and a servant’s heart in meeting the client’s needs.
